What is God Up To In Memphis?

This is not prophecy talk. We are not weirdo’s. God is up to something here. Something is building.

Revolution seems to be in the air. We are hearing stories about once every other month or so of...well, things that are just “suspicious.” Consider this:
- One lady is told by God to move here from up north, even though she knows NO ONE here, to start a prayer ministry called TwoByTwo. Why would God do this to this lady?

- One man, at The Shalom Project, has been hired by 24 churches and ministries to do a “gap” study, to find all of the needs in Memphis and what things are NOT being helped by the churches or government...so that we can team up and tackle them together. We have never seen cross-demonationalism like this in Memphis...ever!

- One man, at The Memphis Outpost, has been impressed by the Lord to begin study and prayer groups with Christian leaders all over Memphis, starting with the “who’s who” of disciple-makers, and next will bring together the city’s intercessory leaders, trying to bring unity, humility and cross-cultural missional projects together.

Prayer warrior
- One man in the Binghampton home-church network has been struggling in prayer because he keeps hearing that he is going to be something of a pastor to all of Memphis. What is that supposed to mean?

w-1- One man has been told exactly when the spiritual revolution will start (summer of 2013), how long it will last (at least 20 years) and which church will be a model for all others (Highpoint Church). What if he heard right? Putting aside the old images of big tents and traveling preachers - what does a “city-wide revival” look like?

- One man has been told that a Religious Spirit (a literal territorial demon, like we see in Dan 10) is holding the city captive - which explains why 12 men could turn the Greco-Roman world upside down in about 30 years, while we have 2000 churches in Memphis and yet, no one even knows we’re here!

- One man has been told “This is My Memphis” by the Lord in a quiet time...while he was on a mountain in Colorado! Does that mean that the Lord was standing in Memphis when He spoke that? Notice what else God calls “mine” in scripture. Very interesting that He’d call this city His.
