CRY OUT TO GOD FOR OUR CITY!!
People have been praying for the city of Memphis for years in their own groups, but God is calling us to unite across all of our denominational and racial boundaries!
Our community is crying out for healing, and God has given us the prescription in the Bible:
“If MY people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14)
We believe that God will begin healing our city when the people of God in Memphis humbly come together and pray and live out our calling. There is power in united prayer!
Please join a multi-racial, multi-denominational group for Prayer for the City of Memphis. This is a one hour monthly meeting focusing on the prayer needs of our metropolitan area. We meet every fourth Wednesday, at Christ United Methodist Church, Wilson Chapel, 4488 Poplar Ave, Memphis from 11:30 to 12:30 to cry out to God for our city.
“And seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray to the LORD for it; for in its peace you will have peace.” (Jeremiah 29:7)

About us:
- Our Mission and Doctrinal Statement:
Pray4Memphis seeks to encourage the Body of Christ to come together in prayer for the Memphis metropolitan area. We welcome all who want to join us. We pray in Jesus' Name, and desire to see all Christians be one in Him.
Our doctrinal position is that we hold to the orthodox tenets of Christian belief, as stated in the Apostle's Creed:
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, the Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord:
Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell. The third day He arose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.
